Aaron Austin

Hi there - My name is Aaron Austin and I’m the Area Manager of Active Soccer Sheffield!

Football has always been my passion, and has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a football player, I represented Sheffield Wednesday’s Academy for 5 years. I have played for teams across the Sheffield area, most recently playing semi-professionally for Sheffield F.C. Studying a degree in Sports Coaching. In additon to this, I have also done a lot of voluntary work which reinforced the passion I felt for coaching, seeing the difference it can make on a child's life on and off the pitch is one of the many reasons I love doing what I do.

As a coach, my main ethos is to promote inclusion and enjoyment into my sessions. I personally pride myself on this value as it makes the sessions a great experience for both parent and child. I feel that every child should have a place in our sessions, my coaches and I will strive for every child to develop and progress as a footballer in each and every session, whilst keeping the enjoyment and fun.

As a footballer, the managers and coaches I played under were a key part of instilling the passion I have for sport from such a young age - I understand the impact a great coach can have on the development of young people. Having the ability to bring fun, memorable coaching sessions to kids like I experienced in my youth is an amazing prospect and the main goal we have here at Active Soccer Sheffield!
