Jack Lenehan

Hi there - My name is Jack Lenehan and I’m the Area Manager of Active Soccer Sefton!

Football has been a big part of my life from when I was young, beginning with playing for my local Sunday League team Crosby Stuart, to then joining Everton Academy age 8.  My journey in football lead me to captaining Rochdale U18s and being involved in the first team for a year in League 1, before continuing my career semi-professionally, now playing in the Northern Premier League for Atherton Collieries.

During my time at Rochdale, I completed my FA Level 2 coaching badge as I developed a passion for coaching and working with children. The qualification allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of coaching, working with different children / players, and how to utilise various techniques that I could implement as a coach. Recently, I studied for a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Edge Hill University and graduated in 2021. This is an area I hold a keen interest in and has provided me with valuable information I have taken into not only my football career but my general health and wellbeing as well. I believe with the knowledge I have attained I can provide children with good advice when it comes to health and nutrition as well as performance.

I have now been a coach for over 5 years and have had some invaluable experiences. Over the last couple of months at Head Office, we have been working on relaunching the Active Soccer brand. I am now running my own franchise and am the Area Manager of Active Soccer Sefton, something I am extremely excited about! As a coach, my aim is to create a positive environment where children can learn and showcase their skills in a fun and safe environment. Myself and our team of coaches at Active Soccer Sefton aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for children in the area. I look forward to welcoming many of you down to our sessions and can’t wait to get on the training pitch!
