Planning, Preparation and Assessments

With the introduction of PPA (Planning Preparation and Assessments) in schools Active Soccer have provided a new Schools Sports Programme to cover teachers 10% PPA non-contact time.

Active have compiled a comprehensive programme that provides qualified coaches to schools to deliver games lessons at Key Stage 1 & 2. All lessons are based on the National Curriculum and the Val Sabin resources material. Assessments are also prepared by the coaches in conjunction with the school to measure the children attainment levels.

Active Soccer provides:

Active Soccer provides Breakfast, Lunch and after school clubs. Not only do the clubs support your schools extended school programme, assist parents with child care provision, but they also provide a safe fun environment for children to learn new skills and increase their confidence and level of physical activity.

The clubs are very easy to set up, as Active Soccer will provide all application forms, registers and certificates for all the children. We can also attend your school to promote the course during one of your school assemblies. The children then hand in their completed forms to the school secretary or your nominated member(s) of staff and our staff will be there to kick off your after school club. Or if your School prefers the Active Soccer Head Office can handle the course entirely ensuring your staff doesn’t have the extra worry of this activity.

Your school must have sufficient indoor or outdoor space for the club and have a teacher on site during the session, however all children are supervised on site until collected by parents.

Fundraising

Active Soccer has come up with a fantastic initiative to help raise money for your school and we will do all the work. Your Pupils gain sponsorship to take 3 penalties against our Active Soccer Goalkeepers. The more penalties they score the more money is raised. We have currently raised in excess of £10,000 for local schools.

The day provides the school with an excellent opportunity to create extra funds with sponsorship money being split, after costs, between your school and Active Soccer's 'Urban Soccer Community Projects'. The Children are encouraged to collect sponsors with some fantastic prizes on offer:

  • Every Participant received a certificate
  • The best penalty taker in each class receives an Active Soccer Club Shop voucher
  • Every Child that raised over £40 receives an Active Soccer Football
  • The highest fundraiser in the school received the full Active Soccer Diadora football Strip

Tournaments

Active Soccer has already delivered many School Tournaments that have involved fantastic media coverage and support from Premiership Footballers. Active Soccer work with Schools Sports Co-ordiantors to provide cluster tournaments to schools throughout the year.

The Active Soccer Schools Cup is a unique mixed 6 & 7 a-side football competition for both boys and girls from Year 2 upward. The competitions are held at either Schools who have a big enough facility to provide the day or local sports stadiums.

Each team that enters will receive participation certificates and the School that is lucky enough to become the Active Soccer Schools Cup Champions will receive a trophy to display at their school, and medals.
